Looking up into a large old oak tree. The words read "2023 Herbalista Service Report."

2023 Herbalista Service Report

A person sits at a table grating ginger with a rainbow reflected over their head. The words read "Here are some highlights from 2023 that we would like to share with you. Thank you all for your support."

Here are some highlights from 2023 that we would like to share with you.  Thank you for all your support.

A hand holds a glass bottle filled with hydrosol. The label reads "Herbalista #10. Juniper, Grapefruit and Black Pepper. Celebrating 10 years of service." The words on the photo read "2023 marked ten years of service.  Ten years of cultivating the type of community we know is possible, one where we can grow, craft and heal together."

The Herb Bus is stationed in front of a forest. It has the top popped and the side tent out. There is a crowd of people around it. The words on the photo read "We set up an HerbCare Station in the Weelaunee People’s Park, in support of people, plants and the planet.

We made good medicine together, sharing free herbal remedies and info about community herbalism."

Grow-a-Row continued to promote “herban” agriculture, both online and in the dirt. The Learning Garden hosted 14 community gatherings and workshops from seed starting to seasonal distillations, plant walks to garden days!

Across the top it reads "Herbalista Free School. Then "In addition to our Live Zoom Classes, the Free School released three free herbal courses on the Teachable Platform, with over 7,500 enrollments!   Courses include: Herbal Foundations; In the Field; Herbal Medicine Making." At the bottom are blocks for the three courses.

A table is covered with rows of small bottles of fire cider. The text reads "The Fire Cider Brigade rolled up their sleeves and made over 15 gallons of Fire Cider, distributing 978 bottles to our friends on the street!  We held seven Community Workshops, putting loving energy into every batch."

Three crew members of the Dublin Herb Bike stand with the HerbCare Station. The text reads "Lorna continued working with the Dublin Herb Bike Collective in Ireland, offering free herbal care and comfort to communities in need.  In addition to their 12 Free Monthly Clinics, the Herb Bike also offered: two HerbCare Stations, Three Plant Rambles and Five Medicine Making Workshops."

The Herb Cart has its red umbrella open and the crew all pose around it. We continued to provide financial and logistical support to the Atlanta Herb Cart.  Lorna was thrilled to have two opportunities to volunteer once again with the crew at Mercy (and help out at the Foot Clinic)!

Special shout-outs to our Garden Steward Sam Cartin, our Fire Cider Brigade Coordinator Keri Tope, and all of the volunteers, sustaining members, and donors who come together as a community in this work.

Herbally yours,
