Herbal Mutual Aid Directory
Updated: March 16, 2026
What it is:
The Herbal Mutual Aid Directory (HMAD) is a listing of herbal mutual aid projects involved in relief efforts that began after the devastating hurricanes that tore through the southeastern US in 2024. Since then, the Directory has grown to include other projects across the United States and a set of Resources to help folks build up their local resources and support people hoping to plug in with other relief efforts.
This Directory is a living resource and we add and edit as new information is shared and becomes available. Please let us know if you would like to be added by clicking the button below.
What you will find:
- Herbal Services – such as Free Clinical Services, Self-Care Dispensaries, Herbal Pantries, Mutual Aid Medicine Making, etc.
- Resource Guides – such as Herbal Donation Guidelines (including Packaging & Labeling Guidelines), Disaster-Specific Toolkits, Alcohol Free Medicine Making Guildelines, and more.
Herbal Mutual Aid Map:
We have also built an Herbal Mutual Aid Map to accompany this Directory and hope that it helps folks find the projects and services near them.
We hope this Directory can help build community – connecting people with people and people with plants.
This Directory is a collaborative effort by the Mutual Aid Herbs Crew which currently consists of: Kat Maier (of Sacred Plant Traditions School and Botanica Mobile Clinic), Christina Gibson (of Chattanooga Herb Truck), Leah Wolfe (of the Trillium Center) and Lorna (of Herbalista).
